hello…

Writing a personal profile is tricky.  It either feels like I’m oversharing with new friends or promoting my most perfect self on Tinder, which, for the benefit of my wife – I’ve never been on.   So this feels weird & I’m going to start off slowly.  I’m a wedding photographer based in South West London. I’ve been a professional for 11 years and have documented over 100 weddings to date.  OK, so that wasn’t too hard.

I’m originally from the West country and now a naturalised Londoner since I’ve lived here for most of my life.

I’m a kind of tall and very chilled person.  Furthermore, I have several natural talents, including sleeping standing up and teaching windsurfing, which unfortunately I haven’t yet been able to combine into one photographic mega talent.

I love food, and by that I mean cooking is my therapy, so I always like two have a go at new recipes.

I’d been a hobbyist snapper for years and had the odd bit of work published. Then whilst working in National Press advertising I was first able to do some ‘proper’ (i.e. paid) work as a photographer.  This was fun, so I gradually did more and then had an opportunity to go full time as self-employed, and I haven’t looked back since.

I’ve been photographing weddings for 11 years now and have been enjoying them since day one.

One of my hobbies at weddings is hunting for those moody shafts of light for that epic atmospheric shot, and the other is getting regular people like me or you and making them feel super relaxed and then surprising them, with their photos after their wedding…

So I do consider myself pretty fortunate for first spending one of the biggest days of someone else’s life with them and then giving them a lifelong memory of it.
